Eggun I honors the ancestors who live within our DNA. Nine faces represent different generations, connected by an abstract DNA strand that carries their presence through the painting and into our lives.
Each face holds distinct patterns, honoring the journeys, wisdom, and gifts of those who came before us. Warm sunset colors speak to resilience and vitality, while the cool waters below suggest ancestral memory flowing through generations.
Part of the Eggun series, this painting reminds us that we continue our ancestors’ stories. Their strength lives in us, their love surrounds us, and honoring their legacy begins with how we live.
Original acrylic painting by Seidah Williams. Original dimensions: 20 × 24 inches.
