Eggun II honors the ancestors who live within our DNA. An abstract DNA strand moves through the background, while the faces represent different generations of ancestors whose presence continues through us.
Rooted in the symbolism of the root chakra, the fiery coral and red speak to belonging, survival, and ancestral strength. Each face honors the wisdom, protection, and memory carried through our lineage.
Part of the Eggun series, this painting reminds us that we never stand alone. Their roots are our roots, a living source of courage and grounding.
Original acrylic painting by Seidah Williams. Original dimensions: 16 × 20 inches.
